Dr Maria Afonso (DVM, PhD, PGCAP, MRCVS) is a veterinarian by training and an educator by vocation. Her work spans anatomy education, pedagogy, and the ongoing process of creating spaces where students feel safe to learn. She is a lecturer (assistant professor) at the University of Glasgow.
